IoT Academy 2024/25

Event description

The year has come and gone and we have another year of IoT Academy, which will take place again under the guidance of experienced lecturers from tData. Last year brought some really great projects.

Do you enjoy smart devices? Are you fascinated by new technologies and everything that is online? Or do you even see things around you that could be brought to life by IoT? If so, the IoT Academy, focused on the design and manufacturing of IoT devices, is for you. Each participant will have the opportunity to make their own IoT device.

You will learn:

Hardware

From building a prototype, to designing your own PCB, to manufacturing the hardware.

The benefits of low power MCU architectures and the use of independent peripherals.

How to build an IoT prototype quickly and efficiently.

Software

Basics of Embedded C language and how to program firmware for our devices.

Optimizing power consumption and using sleep modes.

Visualizing data through your own portal or cloud.

IoT low power networks

Choosing the right network and technology for data transmission (WiFi, Bluetooth LE, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT).

What you will be working with

IoT development platform AVR128DA48 CURIOSITY NANO (8-bit microcontroller).

Autodesk Eagle or Autodesk Fusion 360.

Sensors and communication modules in dependence on the selected project.

What you need

Your own laptop

With embedded application development and PCB design environments installed (MPLAB X IDE, Autodesk Eagle, Autodesk Fusion 360).

Come make your own hardware, meet other people passionate about IoT and maybe even kick off your own innovative startup.
