A workshop aimed primarily at non-programmers who would like to use the power of generative tools to create simpler programs.

A short look into the history. A brief explanation of how generative tools work today. An outlook on how the field will continue to evolve.

The benefits and risks of program generation.

Appropriate and inappropriate ways to use generative tools to create programs.

Practical attempts to create programs using generative tools.

  • Own laptop (with Linux, Win or Mac OS)
  • If you do not have a favourite environment for writing programs, then I recommend VSCodium, or a lightweight code editor with syntax highlighting, e.g. pspad.com
  • If you don’t like another common wide-profile language, then you can take my recommendation and install the Python interpreter.
