PROGRAM

08:00 – 08:30 Registration

08:30 – 09:15 Common introduction

9:30 Split into 2 program lines:

A. AI Discovery Project Day with nvias

AI Discovery Project Day for elementary and high school students to learn about the basic building blocks of artificial intelligence and machine learning in an interactive way. In addition to technical skills, students will take away the basics of entrepreneurial startup thinking and 4C competencies.

The project day will be specifically tailored to the topic of smart mobility, i.e. one of the smart specialisations of the Pilsen Region. Smart mobility is not just about smart transport devices, but a whole ecosystem of interconnected solutions that lead to sustainable, safe and smooth transport in cities and regions.

B. Workshops in Multimedia Education with AI for Children trainers

The program block on media education, designed for high school students, focuses on deeper reflection on the digital world and its impact on our perception of reality. The online space is becoming Plato’s Cave 2.0. Are we seeing the shadows of the realities we create in our heads? The machine learning algorithms behind recommendation systems on social platforms allow anyone to target messages to individuals or audiences very precisely. Machines recognise emotions from text, video or images. There are apps that can easily undress anyone, clone their voice and put things in their mouth in a video that they would never say. Let’s open up with students about crucial topics that affect most of us.

14:30 – 15:15 Project evaluation and joint conclusion

Instructors:

Pavel König (nvias)

Marek Ruttner (nvias)

Tomas Holubec (AI for Children)
